Clinical Decision Support
-
The Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) in eClinicalWorks is designed to develop clinical measures as well as new ways for improving chronic and preventative care.
-
CDSS measures the quality of patient care based upon built-in Quality Measure definitions set up in eCW, and is more dynamic and interactive in nature than the Classic Alerts. When creating a patient’s record in eCW, the CDSS alert activates based upon the physician’s findings. One or many Quality Measures may be applicable for each patient, due to that patient’s medical history.
-
Each quality measure may be linked to an order set if needed. From this window, the physician may quickly order the necessary test to satisfy the quality measure, or suppress the order and set a reminder to order the test later.
Order Sets
-
Order Sets is a divided customizable treatment template, based on the diagnosis of a patient.
-
Order Sets may be created at the Community Level and pushed out to all the practices or created at the Practice Level for individual use.
-
Apply treatment protocols using pre-defined order sets
Registry Reporting
-
Develop reports for measuring the quality of care by looking at practice data in a variety of ways.
-
Generate reports with healthcare quality measures that will be used to track progress in achieving the goals of DOQ-IT.
-
Create disease management reports to follow up on patients with chronic diseases.
-
Structured Data tab – Provides the ability to run reports in Registry, based upon structured data captured in the Progress Note. What is structured data? It’s a way of storing information in a database so that it can be used efficiently for reporting. Physicians may produce a report using this information from the Progress Note.
-
Saved Reports – Gives the ability to run quick reports that have been saved in the system.
-
Referrals – By popular demand, queries can be done in Registry based upon Referrals.
-
Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) is a pay–for-performance program that weighs the level of care provided by physicians to Medicare patients using measures. Once enabled, the feature prompts the physician for PQRI-related coding where applicable. The one hundred and thirty four PQRI quality measures, as determined by CMS, come loaded with the eCW software and run behind the scenes for all Medicare patients.
Progress Notes
-
Generates clean, easy to read and professional consultation or progress notes.
-
